YAY CONTRIBUTIONS
So yesterday was the big fundraiser for my new job at the Davis '06 campaign. Nothing is better than hanging out with the richest democrats in hyde park. Money changed hands so rapidly, checks were written faster than you could say campaign finance. It was good times, most certainly very good times.
Ok, enough of that.
the Holy Father, Pope John Paul II, is now recieving nutrients from a nasal feeding tube. While I could be very mean and cynical like many of my fellow liberals I choose not to. I feel that John Paul has been a key asset to helping the movement for Poland's liberation, youth and AIDS awareness, and many other imporant issues facing not only Caholicism as a whole but the entire globe. I pray that if the Lord desires to take him then I ask that it be swift and painless.
On the flip side of Irony:
the Rev. Fallwell is now on a vent to breate for him and is now under the influences of the very life sustaining techniques that he advocated. It is truly ironic for me because I saw him not two days ago on MSNBC and now he may die, unless of course this trend of erring on the side of life continues.
Politics in America are truly odd. I know that soundsl like a stupid idea but it really boils down to what our parties believe and how the members are following that platform. What were once conservative values, small government, fair taxes, civil rights, financial stability, and the moral revival all have become the issues of the once pro-federal democrats. It is such a strange turn of events that I need to determine how this could shape the course of modern politics for the next 25-50 years, the time that I will be a player in the system.
Its been a strange week thus far and I fear that it will only continue to get more and more bizarre. Just keep your eyes peeled for changes in the spectrum and be ready for curveballs, because mark my words, they are coming and soon.
