What A Day!

So Today was the Junior State Minicon that we threw together in about two weeks.

Here are the stats:

Number of Attendees: 50
Number of Boxes of Pizza: 16
Debates: A Bunch
Schools: At least 6

All in all this is clearly the best MiniCon ever hosted in the Southeast Region of the Junior State.

Representative Jim Davis (D-FL) was on hand to provide my fellow JSA'ers with a unique insight into his congressional life as well as his bid for governor, neither of which he was bashful to talk about openly and frankly.

No Press, but maybe next time.

The debates, for what I saw of them during my "free" time, were all very good. The discussion was on target and the speakers all brought a great feeling of officiality to the convention. This did not appear nor sound like a rag-tag event and it certainly did not produce the low numbers needed for such a distinction.

All in all, today rocked.

This wekk? Sucked.

My car may be gone forever thanks to the action of one very stupid teenager (not me thanks)

Currently driving another car, so no, i did not get a new car, im just driving another one for the moment unless my car is totalled in which case I will be getting another car.

Politics? I honestly have been trying to follow it but with the minicon I have been unable to follow much.

Iran is the current debate, a debate which should have been addressed awhile ago, but oh well, no Carslyle connections there, eh?

Social Security is still on deck as an issue. Bill Frist (R-TN) has been rather flip-floppity about whether or not the Senate should debate the issue. Sounds like someone's counter platform...hmm oh well. Must have been that republican ability to quickly forget the past.

I do know that we finally breached the 1500 mark on dead US soldiers. Well Hooray! nothing like 1500 dead servicemen and women to remind me why I am fighting so hard against the conservative machine. They shall not have died in vain.

We shot an Italian journailst who was being held in Iraq. Thats good. We refuse to comment, thats also good. At least the Bush admin is trying to appear that they are consistent. If it doesnt affect the Oil dont worry about it.

Thats all for now, Good luck to the Italian State Dept. team, y'all need it bad at the moment.

Everyone else keep on fighting, we are gonna win this thing not because we can or becuase we want to but BECAUSE WE HAVE TO!

That is all.
