All I know is that im studying my sources on Pontiff elections and the cardinal college process.

Back from the belly of the beast

So this past week I have been running around in our nation's cradle, Washington DC. Washington was lovely; cold and windy, much like the Party that runs the city.

My bill actually passed the House and Senate, despite opposition from conservatives who think that the paper ballot would be a return to machine politics.

Union stuff is back on track, good things are ahead so watch the blog, sfpe.blogspot.com

more later when im out of homeroom, maybe ITGS or something exciting.

Life...its a political game alright

Monday, the most loathed of all week-days, has returned yet again. Yesterday was winterjam in Lakeland, its supposed to be a time of fellowship and rockin'out to some of the best bands in Contemporary Christian music. It was, until Tait took stage. Tait gets onstage and gives a little speech about how much he loves Jeb bush and watches Fox News. Way to bring politics into worship! the positive message of uplifting, equality, and love was underscored by a political bias that was totally un-needed and not desired by anyone inthe crowd. so stupid.

In other news, the Iraqi election votes have been counted and as predicted the shi'ites have come out victorious.Surprisingly, the Kurrds have pulled out with 1/4 of the seats in the assembly which means the Shi'its cannot gain a total victory in the race for Prime Minister.

Domestic news: Howard Dean is the DNC chair, woohoo! I honestly could care less what the republicans think about it, because I am elated that someone who is willing to scream and go on a tirade would be so cool as to exrpress how they feel and not who tthe media says they should feel. This also means that he cannot run for President in '08, now all we have to do is get hillary and JK out of the way to make room for some democrats that dont make the middle shudder.

Thats all for this Homeroom report, the Liberal Reality lives on.

Oh and much love to Juno on her special day.

reality is sinking in...

Just another day in the bush dynasty.

Iran war plans? those are routine...

Iraq? recount needed to verify votes, some things truly do spread from democracy to democracy.

The week just gets crappier and crappier for the world-over.

Did anyone read the stuff I posted on Togo? no one seems to give a crap what goes on there, but i am hopeful that someone out there is at least half as interested as I am in it.

thats all for now, I have much to do.

Social Security, meet social security inc...

To Paris! To Paris!

Yes you heard right folks...someone is going to Paris, and it's not me!

Its Dr. Condoleezza Rice, our lovely new Secretary of State. President Bush found it a good idea to show off his new diplomatic puppet that he is going to send her over to Freedom City, I mean Paris, to attempt in a bridge-unburning to end all patchings.

Should be a n uneventful trip with an uneventful speech targeted at nothing more than the "symbolism" of an American diplomat in Paris. Now that sounds like a good movie. I can see it now; the marquee with a huge sign saying "American Diplomat in Paris" rated R for moments of extreme reality, freedom, an dry humour. That would be really amusing.

In other news, the African nation of Togo is finally beginning to stabilise after week of violence and a near-revolution after the succession of Faure Gnassingbe as President. The problem that the majority of the people, and quite frankly the civilised world, is that Gnassinbe is the son of Togo's last president, Gnassingbe Eyadema, who died of a heart attack Saturday. The constitution of the nation of Togo states that when the President dies the next-in-line is the speaker Parliament. The Military, Army, of Togo installed Faure as president within hours of his fathers death, not the speaker and not by the Parliament. Under pressure from Army leaders the national parliament of Togo voted 67-14 to install Faure as the Speaker which would allow him to be the president. He was sworn in today among a series of denouncments and condemnation by the African Union (AU) and its member states. The United States has not yet made an official announcement or statement concerning the conflict, of course since there is no Oil there the problem isn't quite so high on the list of things to do.

ITGS is actually starting, I should probably do some work, heh, work in ITGS? Who knew?

"The revolution is not an apple that falls when it is ripe. You have to make it fall"

-Like IM really going to tell you who said that.

So Much Crap...

I apologise for the lack of posts these past weeks but I have been busier than Iraqi election officials trying to get verything taken are of in my personal life. Quick update: My eagle scout project is finished and ready for presentation, all that I have left is the mound of paperwork and the usual round of meetings etc...

Now on to the fun stuff.

Iraq: Elections have been set and life is moving steadily along for everyone over there. As predicted the Shi'ite population has probably gained a majority of the seats in the newly formed Iraqi assembly and the Sunni's and Kurds will be left with a small amount of seats that will serve more as symbols and less as voting controls for the new consitution and president. Super.

Here at home:
The State of the Union Address was, in a word, predictable. The President delivered the usual round of freedom's and liberties. On the whole it was a review of the standard Neo-Con platform: cut social programs, increase military spending, pass the buck on to the next president as far as a financial burden. The most interesting aspect of the speech was a mention of alternative sources of energy. I fell out of my seat when I heard what he had to say regarding new sources of energy. On the whole it was laughable in its content but for one of the first times quasi-respectable in its delivery, save the 63, yes 63, pauses for applause.

So as I sit here in theory of Knowledge, being bothered to mention Alyssa, listening to a student lecture on Wittgenstein I wonder what the state of tomorrow's union will be. Where will our nation's military next strike in the war on terror? In his words, "From Damascus to Tehran (pronounced TAY-RAWN) we will continue to spread democracy in the chase...for freedom."

Other than that not much has been happening in the world, sad to say. The Super Bowl was sub-par, the patriots earned their dynasty and the half-time show was watered down, thanks Janet.

This week will see the introduction of the Rice doctrine for the mid-east and a trip for Dr. Rice to visit the troubled region.

next post I will be sure to mention my full policy on Social Security and the problems facing the con's with trying to pass legislation on such a dumb idea.

Ironically, today's Junior State meeting will concern social security, should be a heated discussion if everyone stays in topic.

Peace...Land...Bread (such a concept)
