In Class

As I sit in homeroom attempting to wake-up from another long session in history I figure that now would be a good time to go over the morning news...

One of my favorites that of course isnt being hit on by the news is the court martial of pfc. Graner, one of the army soldiers responsible for the abuses at Abu Gharib. His lawyer compared the act of stacking inmates in a pyramid to a cheerleading position of the same shape. Yea. Thats it. Stacking a group of naked inmates who may not have done anything against their will into a bug pyramid of naked bodies is just like that high school football game. Insert reality check here.

Also in the news is the growing CBS scandal. It appears that CBS is on its way to toally revamping its news gathering organization and the feelings on K street and around the 'net is that Dan Rather will be totally cut loose and the perception altered to reflet the more centrist policies of the other news organizations. Oh well, its another sad attempt to suck up to the White House in a media scene that reflects the growing reliance on politicans as much as a free and independent media.

Thats it for now, probably more later if theres big news.
